America’s Indo-Pacific Strategy: “Alliance of Values,” QUAD, and AUKUS: How to Create Regional Peace and Prosperity in Asia?

Faculty of Economics and Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social Sciences, organised a public lecture, titled  “America’s Indo-Pacific Strategy: “Alliance of Values,” QUAD, and AUKUS: How to Create Regional Peace and Prosperity in Asia?”, on 16 February, 2023, by Professor Kumiko Haba, Aoyama Gakuin University, Tokyo, Japan. Prof. Haba spoke about the rise of a new order with the coming up of economies like India and China, and the necessity to collaborate among neighbouring countries. She discussed the characteristics of the contemporary world and stressed on the need to collaborate overcoming the difference of thought, systems and culture. Prof. Haba was also advocating peace and how it’s a prerequisite to development and prosperity.
