Professor Yogesh Tyagi, Dean of Faculty of Legal Studies appointed Member (part-time) of Law Commission

Professor Yogesh Tyagi

Dean of Faculty of Legal Studies, Professor Yogesh Tyagi has been appointed as a Member (part-time) of 20th Law Commission of India. The appointment was made along with that of Justice SN Kapoor and Mool Chand Sharma, who were appointed as full-time members of the Law Commission. R Venkataramani, senior advocate in the Supreme Court, was also appointed as a part-time Member of the Commission.

The 20th Law Commission was constituted on September 1, 2012. Justice DK Jain, former Supreme Court judge is the Chairman of the Commission. The Commission, the three-year term of which will end in August 2015, is mandated to give opinion to government on complex legal issues.
